This workshop teaches students with minimal tap dance experience the
Shim Sham Shimmy, a classic dance considered by scholars and historians to be the "tap
dancer's anthem." Great fun to learn and perform, the "Shim
Sham" has vital connections with African Drumming and Jazz Music that
are explained and illustrated. Tap dance students looking for more versions
of this
great Classic American Dance/rhythm should consider attending the Shim Sham
Craze course taught each year at the National Tap Seminar. ![]()
