Past Master Classes & Workshops

Cast members often teach guest master classes and workshops while on the road. They enjoy it, and so do their students who are in for a real treat!

Here are a few pictures. Recognize yourself?

"Still receiving evaluation forms in the mail raving about your workshops...both those with a background in tap and those with no background were equally excited by your classes. Everyone was impressed with the way you took a whole roomful of people and got them dancing so quickly -and loving it. You did a great job of making links with those [contra dancing and clogging] dance forms. I hope you had as much fun as we did because we had a great time."
Joel Bluestein, President, Folklore Society of Greater Washington

"His knowledge, precision, and delightful style will certainly add Baker to the list of tap greats we’d like to see here again."
Dorinda Dercar, International Tap Association Regional Representative, Boulder, CO

"Whether teaching through our outreach programs or as a part of our outstanding faculty, Chris Baker has brought extensive knowledge and spirited enthusiasm to his approach to "foot percussion". We have all come to a much deeper understanding of tap as a form of music as well as a dance form. His dedication and spirit are reflected in his generosity of time and talent to benefit the school on numerous occasions."
Jean Kellogg, Dean, Levine School of Music, Washington, DC

"A very giving teacher... Very passionate about what he does... great teaching skills..."
Compiled by Tracy Lawson, Tap Dance Program Coordinator, BalletMet Columbus, Columbus, OH

"I can't thank you enough for the great master classes. All the studios benefitted. A big "shot in the arm (foot)" for rhythm in North Carolina. You are a gifted teacher and the attention to musical awareness you brought to class was worth its weight in gold! A special thanks for the extra time you spent after class to talk with the students answering personal questions."
Gene Medler, Director, North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble

"Thanks a lot for this last weekend’s great workshop. The courses greatly exceeded my expectations and were of tremendous value to me."
Brenda Seidman, tap dancer, Mount Rainier, MD

"Everyone had a great time and is eager to continue working on the combinations in class. Let us know the next time you are in this area. Thanks again for a great day of tap!"
Mary Beth Dawson, Owner/Director, Dance, Etc., Kinston, NC
